Academia and Asperger's

The Chronicle: 9/16/2005: Nutty Professors: "academe appeals particularly to introspective, narcissistic, obsessive characters who occasionally suffer from mood disorders or other psychological problems."

Academic librarians often have to deal with people of various levels of personality quirks, both as patrons and as colleagues. This article raises interesting ethical questions about Asperger's syndrome in academia.
